SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College men's soccer team moves to 5-1 overall, 4-1 in conference play after traveling to USC Union this morning for a conference contest.
Duartes Veigas Mendes led the attack for the Statesmen with three goals and one assist on the day. Mendes' goals came in the 19th, 30th and 83rd minutes. Raquan Bryant chipped in with two goals, and Josemaria Acosta Bello and Michael Afful had one goal each. Matthew Suarez assisted on two occasions while Jordan Richardson, Edgar Jose Reboredo, and Milton A Hernandez Sierra had one assist each. Cristian Rodriguez made six saves between the pipes through 60 minutes of play. Mason Dycus and Christopher Brown had one save in each of their 15 minutes played.
The Richard Bland men's soccer team next travels to Spartanburg Methodist College on Saturday, September 24th. Kickoff is set for 2pm.
