SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College men's soccer team traveled to USC Sumter Saturday afternoon for their second meeting of the season. The Fire ants came out victorious, 2-3, moving the Statesmen to 4-3-3 overall and 4-2-3 in conference play.
In the game, Bruno Gregor assisted on an Alonso Villegas goal, and Juan Santana assisted Victor Manuel, but the two goals were not enough as the Fire Ants found the back of the net three times for the conference win. Patrick Dane manned the net for all 90 minutes, making five saves in the loss. Richard Bland had 12 shots on the day on the offensive attack.
The Richard Bland College men's soccer team next travels to Montgomery College (MD) on Tuesday, October 1st for a 4:30pm non-conference contest.
