STATESMEN FINISH STRONG AT NJCAA TRACK NATIONALS; CHAMBERS & WASHINGTON NAMED NJCAA ALL-AMERICAN

New York, NY, March 8, 2014- The Richard Bland College track and field team finished 18th out of 56 teams competing with just three runners. All Statesmen runners placed personal best times as they finished their event.

Adrain Jackson placed a personal lifetime best of 8.29 in the 60 meter hurdles, while finishing 11th overall. Joshua Washington was clocked at 6.86 with his personal lifetime best and a 10th place finish. Maxwell Chambers was named NJCAA All-American in the 600 meter run registering a personal lifetime best in the pre-liminary at 1:19, but finished fifth overall and a time of 1:20 in the finals. Washington placed second in the 200 meter run and a lifetime personal best of 21.14, which was good enough to be runner-up and receive All-American status. On the women's side, Cassandra Nnaji placed 18th in the shot put.
