RICHARD BLAND COMPETES WELL AT CAPTAIN'S CLASSIC TRACK MEET

NEWPORT NEWS, VA, April 19, 2014- The Statesmen Track and Field programs had  solid performances at Christopher Newport University even when the weather did not cooperate. Max Chambers qualified for Nationals and won the 800 meter race with a time of 1:55.13. Chambers ran a smart and tactical race earning him a trip to Arizona, Richard Bland also recorded three lifetime personal best performances from Tim Vass, Xavier Brown and Cassandra Nnaji.
