Hamilton Signs with UVA Wise

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Jerry Hamilton, a member of the Richard Bland College men's cross country, and track and field indoor and outdoor teams, has signed to continue his academic and athletic career at NCAA Division II University of Virginia's College at Wise, beginning Fall 2024.
The Blackstone, Virginia native contributed to much success for the Statesmen Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Hamilton, a distance runner, competed in both indoor and outdoor track seasons for the Statesmen this past year.
In his rookie campaign, he was the lone cross country runner for two meets. Hamilton competed at the Virginia Union University Fall Cross Country Opener and the Virginia Union University Panther XC Invitational with the following results:
Men's 8K Run – 5th place – 32:08.8
Men's 8K Run – 13th place – 31:32.5
Hamilton competed in six indoor track & field meets; the Rutgers Holiday Classic, VCU Rams Indoor Invitational, Oceanfront Invitational, Scarlet Knight Open, and the USC Indoor Open 24. His results are below, in order of meets:
