RICHARD BLAND SIGNS 10 TO THEIR SOFTBALL RECRUITING CLASS

PETERSBURG, VA, April 21, 2014-The Richard Bland College softball squad is another successful program that the school has produced in their first year of existence. Head Coach Martha Covington and her staff of assistant coaches, Jennie Harp and Mike Ford have put together quite a season with a 22-8 overall record and owns a #11 ranking in the NJCAA national polls.

Additionally, the Statesmen are leading the region and are in a good position to win the regular season title. The success has also been the recruiting of Covington and her staff, who took on the job last spring and fielded a quality team. The Statesmen have already signed 10 newcomers for the 2014-15 squad.
