Women's Soccer Falls Short Against USC Lancaster

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William & Mary women's soccer team fell 5-2 to USC Lancaster despite a strong effort on Saturday, August 31. 

The Statesmen move to 2-1 this season and the team is scheduled to play Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 7, at 2 p.m.

Alexia Spencer secured the Statesmen's first goal in the ninth minute with assistance from Abegail Richardson. Assisted by Alaina Jencik, Richardson scored the team's second goal of the first half. 

The Statesmen were tied 2-2 going into the second half. Even with the Statesmen's strong resistance, USC Lancaster scored 3 goals in the second half putting themselves over the Statesmen, 5-2.
