Simmons Commits to Huntington University

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Brooklyn Simmons, a member of the Richard Bland College women's track and field team, has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at NAIA Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana.

 

The Woodbridge, Virginia native contributed to much success for the Statesmen Track & Field program. Simmons spent her rookie campaign at Adelphi University prior to transferring to Richard Bland for her second season.

 

Simmons, a jumper/sprinter, competed in both indoor and outdoor track seasons for the Statesmen, with season highs at the Battleground Relays in the following events – 2nd place in long jump, and 3rd place in triple jump.

CNU Holiday Open – 3rd place in triple jump

VCU Rams Indoor Invitational – 9th place in 200M

Marlin Invitational – 4th place in long jump

DII Indoor Pre-Nationals – 16th place in long jump

JDL DMR Invitational – 5th place in long jump

USC Indoor Open – 38th place in 60M, 9th place in long jump

NJCAA Indoor Nationals – 11th place in long jump

New Captain's Classic – 8th place in long jump

USC Open Outdoor – 10th place in long jump, 30th place in triple jump

 

 

Huntington University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Crossroads League Conference.
