Johnson Signs with Florida A&M University

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Haniyyah Johnson, a NJCAA All-American and member of the Richard Bland College women's track and field indoor and outdoor teams, has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at NCAA Division I Florida A&M University, beginning Fall 2024.
The Pamplin, Virginia native contributed to much success for the Statesmen Track & Field program. Johnson, a jumper and sprinter, competed in both indoor and outdoor track seasons for the Statesmen.
In her rookie campaign, it took Johnson only two meets, to qualify for the indoor NJCAA National Championships. In her first outing at the CNU Holiday Open, Johnson topped the leaderboard finishing in 1st place in the long jump at 5.87m (19'3.25"), and 3rd place in the 60M at 7.81.
During her sophomore year, Haniyyah made a name for herself reaching the podium at the NJCAA Indoor National Championship. Johnson placed 2nd in the 60 meters, 4th place in the Long Jump, and 10th place in the Triple Jump at the national level.
Florida A&M University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and competes in the Southwestern Atlantic Conference (SWAC).
