Women's Volleyball Splits Doubleheader

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA. - The Richard Bland College of William & Mary Women's Volleyball team adds one win and one loss to their record after their two matches Saturday and now sits at 2-2 on the year.

The team will look to bounce back in two weeks against Regent University here at Statesmen Hall on Tuesday, September 10, at 6 pm.

In the first game, the Statesmen fought back from deficits in multiple games to sweep Pitt in straight sets.  In the match, the Statesmen were led by the play of Tabatha Green, who had 13 kills, 3 aces, 3 blocks, & 6 digs, and Anna Ney, who tallied 34 assists, 3 kills, & 3 digs.

The second match saw an energized Pitt team fight back against the Statesmen to take the last three sets and the match after RBC comes back to beat them in the first set.  Emma Lazerson (15 kills & 1 ace), Sierra Spade (10 digs), and Tabatha Green (13 kills, 1 ace, 4 digs) were the leaders for the Statesmen in this match.
