Statesmen Take Down Hawks in Three Sets
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The #5 Richard Bland College women's volleyball team hosted the College of Southern Maryland Thursday evening for a non-conference match. After completion of the evening, the Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moved to 7-1 overall on the season.
In the match, the Statesmen defeated the Hawks 3-0, with set scores of 25-13, 25-6, and 25-23. Taelin Connolley had another big night for the Statesmen, leading the way with 17 kills. She also added four digs, four service aces, and two assists. Gabrielle Meador had nine kills and 15 digs in the match, while Lovina Teel chipped in with seven kills, four digs, and two service aces, and Aliyah Millner four kills. Alexis Scipione was credited with 29 assists, eight digs, and three service aces. Phoebe Heath added 10 digs, and Lindsey Love four in the match.
The Richard Bland College women's volleyball team next travels to Montgomery College (MD) for a tri-match on Saturday, September 7th. The Statesmen will take on Penn State York at 3pm, and the hosts, Montgomery College, at 5:30pm. Livestream will be available for both matches:
