Connolley, Teel Named NJCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball All-Americans

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Tuesday afternoon, the NJCAA Volleyball Committee announced the 2024-25 NJCAA DII Volleyball All-Americans. Two Richard Bland College Women's Volleyball team members, Taelin Connolley and Lovina Teel, were included in this recognition.

 

Freshman outside hitter/defensive specialist, Taelin Connolley was named NJCAA DII Women's Volleyball 1st Team All-American, and freshman middle blocker/right side hitter, Lovina Teel was named NJCAA DII Women's Volleyball 2nd Team All-American.

 

In the National Tournament alone, Connollley played in all 11 sets, earning 37 total kills, 36 total digs, and four service aces. Her full season stats are as follows; 509 kills (led the team), 333 digs, 77 service aces, 21 assists, 19 block assists, and 3 solo blocks.

 

Teel also played in all 11 sets in the National Tournament. Teel was credited with 42 total kills, 24 digs, and three service aces. Teel's full season stats are as follows; 483 (2nd on team), 251 digs, 59 service aces, nine assists, 41 block assists, and one solo block.

 

Both Connolley and Teel were strong driving forces for the team's 9th place National finish on the season. They will be looked at to continue leading the team as they head into Beach Volleyball season in the spring, and their second indoor seasons next fall.
