STATESMEN WOMEN FINISH STRONG AT NJCAA REGIONAL MEET

Charlotte, NC, October 11, 2013-The Richard Bland Womens Cross Country Team made a strong statement at the NJCAA regional meet on Thursday. The Statesmen were led by the sibling tandem of Justina Gilliam and Jacqueline Gilliam who finished 10th and 11th respectively.

"The fact that both runners trained hard and ran personal best times is really rewarding," stated Coach Matt High. Justina Gilliam finished in the top 10 with a time of 22:36, while sister Jacqueline Gilliam followed behind to finish 11th at a time of 23:34. "All runners competed and ran well, this has been an exciting year and a solid foundation for the future of the program," added High.
