WILLIAMS HIRED AS DIRECTOR OF SPORTS INFORMATION AND MARKETING

PETERSBURG, Va. – Richard Bland Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Chuck Moore has announced Jolisa Williams as the department's new Director of Sports Information and Marketing on Monday.

Williams comes to Richard Bland after spending the last two years at Virginia State University as the Life Skills Coordinator/Statistician. She served as the primary contact for volleyball, women's basketball, softball, women's tennis and assisted with football while overseeing student workers for athletics. As the Life Skills Coordinator, she worked closely with the Senior Woman Administrator and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee on campus.

"I would like to thank Richard Bland College and Mr. Moore for this great opportunity," said Williams. "I am extremely excited to begin my career and to promote Richard Bland Athletics in the best possible way."

A 2012 graduate of St. Augustine's University with a degree in Sport Management, Williams was a former student-athlete for the Lady Falcons basketball team where she was a three-year starter. She was a three prestigious time All-CIAA Academic team member while each year spent at St. Augustine's, her team won the highest grade point average award three out of the four seasons. Following graduation, Williams served as a graduate assistant in athletics at Virginia State from 2012-2014 while earning her master's degree in sport management.
