Bio

Omar Ahmad joined RBC Athletics for the 2019-20 season as assistant director of athletics and sport performance coach. Ahmad will be responsible for student-athlete compliance in accordance with NJCAA protocols. Ahmad comes to RBC from HCA Virginia Sports Medicine where he was responsible for the design and supervision of training programs for middle school, high school, professional and adult recreation athletes.  Before working at HCA, he was the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance at the University of Missouri, overseeing all strength and conditioning programs for the men’s and women’s Swimming and Track & Field teams. Ahmad is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina Asheville. He earned his Master of Physical Education from University of North Carolina Pembroke and is currently working towards his Doctorate at East Tennessee State University. Ahmad currently resides in Richmond with his wife, Anna.
