Statesmen Take Down Rhinos and Flyers
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College beach volleyball moves to 16-5 overall, 3-0 in conference play after traveling to Sandhills Community College Friday and Saturday afternoons for the Flyers Invitational. On Friday, March 22nd, the Statesmen took on Gaston College in nonconference contest, and Sandhills Community College in a conference contest. On Saturday, Richard Bland faced Catawba College.
In dual one, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Rhinos of Gaston College, 4-1.
Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Alexis Scipione defeated the Rhinos 21-18 and 21-17.
Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Aubrey Hyndshaw fell to the Rhinos 15-21 and 19-21.
Pair 3: Peyton Ostenson and Jordan Schlageter defeated the Rhinos 21-18, 15-21, and 15-8.
Pair 4: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett defeated the Rhinos 21-16 and 22-20.
Pair 5: Phoebe Heath and Addison White defeated the Rhinos 21-7 and 21-8.
In dual two, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Flyers on Sandhills Community College, 5-0.
Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Alexis Scipione defeated the Flyers 21-10 and 21-9.
Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Aubrey Hyndshaw defeated the Flyers 22-20 and 21-18.
Pair 3: Peyton Ostenson and Jordan Schlageter defeated the Flyers 21-17 and 21-17.
Pair 4: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett defeated the Flyers 21-16 and 21-11.
Pair 5: Phoebe Heath and Addison White defeated the Flyers 21-9, 18-21, and 18-16.
In dual three, the Statesmen pairs fell to the Indians of Catawba College, 2-3.
Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Alexis Scipione fell to the Indians 18-21, 21-17, and 13-15.
Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Aubrey Hyndshaw fell to the Indians 18-21 and 20-22.
Pair 3: Peyton Ostenson and Jordan Schlageter defeated the Indians 16-21, 21-9, and 15-10.
Pair 4: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett fell to the Indians 25-23, 17-21, and 11-15.
Pair 5: Phoebe Heath and Addison White defeated the Indians 21-14 and 21-19.
The Richard Bland College beach volleyball team next travels to Sandhills Community College on Friday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 23rd for the Flyers Invitational. On Friday, the Statesmen will take on Gaston College at 2pm and Sandhills Community College at 4pm. On Saturday, Richard Bland will take on Catawba College at 12pm.
