Beach Volleyball Named Back to Back Region 10 Champions, Punches Ticket to Nationals
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College beach volleyball moves to 20-11 overall after traveling to Gaston College in Gaston, North Carolina for the Region 10 Tournament on Saturday, April 20th. At conclusion of the tournament Sarah Heath and Jordan Schlageter were named Region 10 Pair of the Year.
In dual one of the day, the Statesmen defeated the Pioneers of Spartanburg Methodist College, 4-0.
Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Jordan Schlageter defeated the Pioneers 21-19 and 21-19.
Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Alexis Scipione defeated the Pioneers 21-16 and 21-16.
Pair 3: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett did not finish.
Pair 4: SMC Forfeit
Pair 5: SMC Forfeit
In dual two of the day, the Statesmen defeated the Flyers of Sandhills Community College, 3-0.
Pair 1: Sarah Heath and Jordan Schlageter defeated the Flyers 21-18 and 21-14.
Pair 2: Leilani Goggin and Alexis Scipione did not finish.
Pair 3: Morgan Green and Kiley Pickett defeated the Flyers 21-14 and 21-10.
Pair 4: Addison White and Aubrey Hyndshaw did not finish.
Pair 5: Phoebe Heath and Peyton Ostenson defeated the Flyers 21-13 and 21-11.
With the Back to Back Region 10 Championship win, the Richard Bland College beach volleyball team has punched their ticket to NJCAA Nationals at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama. The National Tournament Is set to take place May 2nd-4th. More information will be provided soon.
