Men’s Basketball Takes Down WAU Behind Total Team Effort

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College Men's Basketball team moves to 9-12 overall, 4-4 in conference play after hosting Washington Adventist University JV Wednesday evening.

 

Richard Bland set out on an early 43-24 lead at the break, and went on to score 44 points in the second half, in a total team effort, to earn the non-conference victory at home. Four Statesmen had double-digit figures in the win led by Martin Kawa with 21 points, three assists, two rebounds, and one steal. Larry Howell chipped in with 13 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Tim Robinson added 12 points and seven rebounds for the Statesmen, while Mekhi Phipps-Dedrick had 10 points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Rodney Willis Jr. tallied eight points, Imani Anderson seven, Jalen Smith six, Ibrahim Kourouma five, Myles McClendon three, and Maurice Harmon two.

 

The Richard Bland College men's basketball team has a short break before their next contest. The Statesmen are set to host the Dolphins on Brunswick Community College on Saturday, February 3rd at 3pm.
