Richard Bland Competes At Shenandoah | Green Turtle Invitational

FINAL RESULTS

WINCHESTER, Va. -- Richard Bland College sophomore men's golf standout Frankie Lin/Kaohsiung City, Taiwan posted a 36-hole score of four-over par 70-76--146 to finish in a tie for seventh place individually at the Green Turtle Invitational hosted by Shenandoah University on Sunday and Monday at the 6,367-yard, par 71 Winchester Country Club.  The Statesmen competed with three individuals at the 14-team, 77-player event that included mostly NCAA Division II and III member schools.

Lin, who tied for 30th at last year's NJCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship, finished in a tie for second in par 3 scoring (3.00, E), tied for fourth in par 4 scoring (4.14, +3) and pars (24), and tied for 13th in birdies (5).  He was followed by freshmen twins Matthew Hemstock/Midlothian (80-82--162, T-51st) and Alexander Hemstock/Midlothian (84-83--167, T-62nd).

Division III Hampden-Sydney College won the tournament with its 288-292--580, while H-SC's Allen Smith was the individual medalist with his three-under par 65-74--139.
