PATRICK HENRY DEFEAT RICHARD BLAND IN MEN'S SOCCER 13-2

Martinsville, VA, September 4, 2013- The Richard Bland Men's soccer team fell in their first ever Region X contest on the road to Patrick Henry Community College 13-2. The Statesmen fell behind early and could not keep up with the surge from the Patriots. The scoring came from a free kick from Marcus Carter (Chesterfield, VA, L.C. Bird) and Motez Radwan (Richmond, VA/ James River) added a goal from an assist from Asnaf Salihovic (Richmond, VA/ Hermitage).

The Statemen will look to recover when they host two games this weekend. The Pioneers from Spartanburg Methodist College visit Statesman Field on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at  1 p.m., and the Statesmen will take on Virginia Western Community College on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at 3 p.m. Come out and support Statesmen Athletics!
