WEILER RESIGNS AS HEAD MEN'S SOCCER COACH
PETERSBURG, VA, March 28, 2014- After serving as the first head men's soccer coach in school's history, Matt Weiler has resigned. He accepted the position just one week prior to the start of the season. Weiler guided the Statesmen to their first win, in the first game of the season over Tidewater Community College.
"Matt was a tremendous asset to our athletic program for the short time he was here. I appreciate his dedication to helping start our Mens Soccer team and he will be missed," added Athletic Director Chuck Moore.
A national search be begin immediately to fill this position.
