Statesmen Shine in Win Over Denmark Tech

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Men's Soccer team moves to 4-2 in conference play and 4-2-1 overall after their seventh game of the 2021 season.

The men's soccer team hosted Denmark Technical College this afternoon for a conference matchup.

Getting the scoring started early, Nolan Wyss tallied in the 7^th minute of the game off a long ball from goalkeeper Cristian Rodriguez. In the 14^th minute, Moses Mora added a marker off a ball from Nelsar Castillo. 1 minute later, Nolan Wyss struck again from Michael Afful. After assisting on the prior play, Michael Afful notched 2 markers back to back off a long ball from Cristian Rodriguez and a ball from Matthew McQueen. The final goal of the day for the Statesmen was tallied in the 41^st minute by Nelsar Castillo assisted by Michael Afful.

Cristian Rodriguez was credited with 1 save and split time in net with Zachary Degrauwe.

Richard Bland men's soccer next hosts Denmark Technical College, Tuesday October 5^th, for a conference matchup at 3:00pm. The Statesmen will be the away team.
