SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Men's Soccer team moves to 8-4-1 overall and 8-4 in conference play after their final game of the regular season.
The men's soccer team hosted USC Sumter this afternoon for a conference matchup.
The Statesmen were first to get on the board by a Michael Afful tally from Zorhan Isaac Boston. A minute and a half later, Tyriq Amos connected with Josemaria Acosta Bello to put the Statesmen ahead 2-0. USC Sumter got on the board in the 12th minute and leveled the game, 2-2 in the 56th minute. The score would remain 2-2 through regulation and the first overtime period. In the second overtime period, Moses Mora sealed the win from a Julian Rivera ball to push the Statesmen ahead 3-2.
Cristian Rodriguez was credited with 1 save on the day.
