SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College men's soccer team moves to 3-0 overall, and in conference play after picking up a 2-0 win over Southwest Virginia Community College Saturday afternoon.
Samir Spaulding got the ball rolling for the Statesmen and put Richard Bland on the board in the 63rd minute off a ball from Eric Calderon. 17 minutes later, Calderon teamed up with Pablo Cejudo for a Cejudo goal, to put the Statesmen on top 2-0, through the remainder of regulation.
Thomas Seymour was credited with four saves in regulation. Richard Bland was credited with 15 shots and seven corner kicks in the conference win.
The Richard Bland men's soccer team next travels to Wake Technical Community College on Tuesday, September 5th. The nonconference match will kick off at 1:30pm.
