SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College men's soccer team moves to 8-1-1 overall, 6-1-1 in conference play after traveling to Louisburg College Tuesday afternoon.
Richard Bland wasted no time getting on the board. In the 6th minute, Nate Newberry teamed up with Pablo Cejudo for a Cejudo tally to put the Statesmen ahead, 1-0. The score remained 1-0 Richard Bland through the remainder of the first half. Seven minutes into the second half, Cejudo and Ruben Santos found Otto Eisenhardt for an Eisenhardt tally to push the lead to 2-0. Richard Bland held on for the 2-0 non-conference win on the road.
Thomas Seymour earned the start in net and was credited with three saves in 80 minutes of play. Adrian Rios took over in net for the final 10 minutes of regulation.
The Richard Bland men's soccer team next hosts USC Sumter on Friday, September 29th in a 3pm matchup.
