Meet: Aggie Invitational – North Carolina A&T University
Short Story: The Statesmen wrapped up a good showing on Saturday at the Irwin Belk Track, Joshua Washington led the slew with a win in the 200-meter dash.
Highlights
- Joshua Washington (Woodbridge, VA) ran a sizzling 10.31 in the 100-meter dash for a new life time best. He finished third in the 100-meter dash and is currently ranked third in the country. Washington also won the 200m dash in a season's best time of 21.30.
- Domonique Revis (Hampton, VA) placed tenth in the men's triple jump with a jump of 13.17m.
- Andrae McGowan (Hampton, VA) continues his quest for nationals. He ran a lifetime best of 2:00.84 in the 800-meter dash to grab ninth place overall. McGowan reduced his personal best time by almost two seconds.
- Marcus Finnie (Fredericksburg, VA) ran a lifetime best of 10.94 in the 100-meter dash.
- Nick Williams (New Kent, VA) jumped a personal best of 12.74 meters in the triple jump. This was Nick's second time competing in the TJ.
- Cassandra Nnaji (Falls Church) threw a lifetime best of 30.05 meters in the discus.
Next Meet
The Statesmen are scheduled to compete in the New Captains Classic & Combined Events hosted by Christopher Newport University on April 17-18.
