Bilyard started 38 of 39 games for Richard Bland (25-21) this season with a .413 batting average (52-126), six home runs (two grand slams), two triples, 12 doubles, 41 runs, 50 RBIs, 12 walks and 10 stolen bases.  She added a .455 on-base percentage and a .683 slugging percentage, along with a .981 fielding percentage (53 chances, 40 putouts, 12 assists) in center field and in the circle … where she posted a 9-3 record with a 3.12 ERA and 86 strikeouts (7.25) over 83.0 innings with seven complete games and four shutouts in 23 appearances, including 12 starts and two saves.  Bilyard led the team in stolen bases and sac files, as well as pitching wins, ERA, strikeouts, shutouts and saves.  She was second on the team in batting average and RBIs, as well as innings pitched, appearances and complete games.  Bilyard earned All-Region 10 First Team honors as both an outfielder and a pitcher.

This is the second time that Bilyard has been selected for the weekly honor, as she previously garnered the award for the period February 15-21, when she was also named the NJCAA Division II Player of the Week.  Brooklynn was named to the Athletic Director's Academic Excellence List for attaining a 3.13 grade point average during the 2016 fall semester, as well.
