Smith To Step Down at Conclusion of Season

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Richard Bland College Head Softball Coach, Morgan Smith announced that she will not return for the 2024-25 season. Smith coached for three seasons, leading the program to a current, 45-52 overall, three year record, making two appearances in the Region 10/South Atlantic District Tournament. The team currently sits at 13-14 overall, 11-13 in conference, and is in the running to make a third appearance to post season play, under Smith's leadership.

"I would like to thank Coach Smith for her hard work and dedication towards the program the past three seasons. She was instrumental in the continued growth of this program. I wish her the best of luck in her new opportunity," says Athletic Director, Scott Newton.

Assistant Coach, Brooklynn Bilyard will remain on staff and will assist witht eh day to day operations until a new coach is hired.

A national search for a new Head Softball Coach will begin immediately.
