Richard Bland Runners-Up At Eagles' Cup Tournament

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Richard Bland College women's golf team posted a 27-hole team score of 405-202--607 to finish second among two teams at the Eagles' Cup Tournament Saturday and Sunday at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Statesmen placed three golfers among the Top 10 individually, including freshman Kenedi Byard/Chesterfield with her score of 85-44--129 to tie for first, along with sophomores Anna Carole Cole/Halifax with her score of 91-46--137 to finish sixth and Savannah Porter/Midlothian with her score of 111-52--163 to place 10th.

Following Byard, Cole and Porter for Richard Bland were sophomores Taylor Pope/Disputanta (118-60--178, 12th), Jada Robinson/Richmond (143-65--208, 15th) and Casey Firewicz/Fredericksburg (144-68--212, 16th).

Richard Bland will compete again at the Johnston Community College Tournament on October 9 in Smithfield, North Carolina.
