SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Women's Soccer team moves to 2-5 overall, and 2-3 in conference play after a conference matchup with Spartanburg Methodist yesterday afternoon.
Spartanburg Methodist College was the first to find the back of the net with a goal in the 44th minute to round out the first half leading 1-0 over the Statesmen.
Heading into the second half, the Pioneers struck again quickly to lead 2-0. In the 88th minute, Gabriella Sylstra and Jennifer Argueta teamed up to put the Statesmen on the board, but would end up falling short 2-1 in regulation.
Tiffany Hargett was credited with 18 saves in the loss.
Richard Bland women's soccer next travels to USC Lancaster, Monday October 11th at 12:30pm for a conference match.
