SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's soccer team moves to 0-5-1 overall, 0-4 in conference play after tying with non-conference opponent, USC Sumter, 1-1 Friday afternoon.

The score remained even through the first 34 minutes of play. Heading into the 35th minute, the Fire Ants found the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead into the half. In the 70th minute, the Statesmen took advantage of a corner kick, as Angelina Finnerty served a ball in, which curved between the pipes. The score would remain 1-1 through the remainder of regulation, despite the Statesmen chances and high pressure on the Sumter keeper.
