Finnerty Signs with Thomas More University

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Angelina Finnerty, a member of the Richard Bland College women's soccer team, has signed her national letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at NCAA Division II Thomas More University, beginning spring 2024.

 

The Stafford, VA native contributed to much success for the third year program. In her rookie campaign, Finnerty helped her team reach a 5-10 overall record, including a third place finish in the Region 10 Division I Conference. Finnerty started all 15 games for the Statesmen and was credited with five goals, one assist, and tallied 32 shots on goal. She was named 1st Team All-Region 10 for her efforts.

 

In her second season, she was named team captain and played many different roles on the field for the Statesmen. Finnerty started 11 games for Richard Bland. She tallied three goals and two assists for seven points on the season. She was also credited with 21 shots on goal to lead the offense. She was named 2nd Team All-Region 10 for her efforts.

 

Thomas More University is located in Crestview Hills, Kentucky and is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
