Meet: Liberty Twilight Qualifier – Lynchburg, Va.

Short Story: The Richard Bland track and field team had a solid showing before the 2015 Outdoor National Championship as four Statesmen recorded top-10 finishes.

Highlights

• Among a deep field in the 200-meter, Joshua Washington (Woodbridge, VA) continues his quest for a national title after a clocking time of 21.12 for a third place finish.
• Thomas Dale High School product Tia Holmes ran a time of 13.80 in the women's 100-meter dash.
• Evan Wagner (Gloucester, VA) finished sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.63m.
• Marcus Finnie (Fredericksburg, VA) posted a 6.91m mark in the long jump for a seventh place finish.

Next Meet

The Statesmen will take a week off before the 2015 NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 14-16 hosted by Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kan.
