Women’s Volleyball Sweeps the Bulldogs

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The #10 Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moves to 7-3 overall after traveling to Pitt Community College Tuesday evening.

The Statesmen earned a 3-0 sweep over the Bulldogs with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, and 25-8. Sarah Heath led the attack for Richard Bland with 11 kills, followed by Gabriella Figueroa and Dryden Rancourt with seven a piece, and Mikayla Mitchell and Jadyn Brown with five each. Heath and Aubrey Hyndshaw chipped with in with four service aces, along with five and 15 digs respectively. Alexis Scipione was credited with 30 assists, four digs, and three service aces. Brown also added six digs and Figueroa one block for Richard Bland.

The Richard Bland women's volleyball team next travels to New Port Richey, Florida for the Pasco Hernando State College Tournament. The team will face Kansa City Kansas Community College and Pasco Hernando on Friday, September 8^th and Morton College and Andrew College on Saturday, September 9^th. On their way back, they will stop at St. John's River State College for a match with the Vikings and Palm Beach State on Sunday, September 10^th.
