Women’s Volleyball Opens Conference Play With Two Wins

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The #7 Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moves to 17-3 overall, 2-0 in conference play after traveling to Louisburg College for a tri-match against Southwest Virginia Community College and Cleveland Community College Saturday afternoon.

 

In match one, Richard Bland swept the Flying Eagles with scores of; 25-16, 25-18, and 25-11. Sarah Heath led the attack with 19 kills, followed by Leilani Goggin with six. Jordan Schlageter was credited with 30 assists and five digs, while Aubrey Hyndshaw had 11 digs, three service aces, and one kill. Dryden Rancourt added 10 digs and four kills.

 

In match two, Richard Bland swept the Yetis with scores of; 25-14, 25-15, and 25-16. Heath once again led the attack with 18 kills, followed by Gabriella Figueroa with nine and Goggin with seven. Schlageter was credited with 36 assists, nine digs, and three kills. Aubrey

Hyndshaw add 14 digs, Dryden Rancourt 12, and Heath and Jadyn Brown 10 each.

 

The Richard Bland women's volleyball team next hosts Pitt Community College on Tuesday, September 26th at 6pm.
