Women’s Volleyball Grabs Two Conference Wins at Home

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The #5 Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moves to 22-3 overall, 7-0 in conference play after hosting Bryant & Stratton College (VA) Tuesday evening and Lenoir Community College Wednesday evening.

 

In match one, Richard Bland swept the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton 3-0, with set scores of; 25-21, 25-16, and 25-16. Leilani Goggin led the attack with 15 kills, followed by Sarah Heath with 12. Goggin and Heath also added 11 digs each for the Statesmen. Jadyn Brown chipped in with eight kills and nine digs. Jordan Schlageter tallied 39 assists and four digs, while Aubrey Hyndshaw added 14 digs in the win.

 

In match two, Richard Bland swept the Lancers of Lenoir Community College 3-0, with set scores of; 25-21, 25-13, and 25-11. Heath led the attack with 16 kills and Goggin 10. Goggin also had six service aces and 11 digs, and Heath 10 digs. Schlageter added 35 assists, three kills, and three digs. Jadyn Brown was credited with six kills, five digs, one assist, and one service ace in the win.

 

The Richard Bland women's volleyball team next travels to Fayetteville Technical Community College on Friday, October 6th for a conference match at 6pm.
