SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The #3 Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moves to 24-4 overall, 9-1 in conference play after traveling to Cape Fear Community College Thursday evening.
It was a hard-fought, five set battle Thursday evening with the Sea Devils. The Statesmen fell to the Sea Devils 2-3 with scores of; 29-27, 25-20, 22-25, 23-25, and 13-15. Sarah Heath led the attack with 23 kills, followed by Leilani Goggin with 16 and Dryden Rancourt with 13. Alexis Scipione assisted on 50 occasions and tallied 19 digs in the loss. Heath and Goggin added 17 digs each, Aubrey Hyndshaw 15, and Rancourt 11 on the day.
The Richard Bland women's volleyball team next hosts Monroe College tomorrow, Saturday, October 14th at 10am and 12pm.
