Women’s Volleyball Falls at Home

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The #3 Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moves to 24-6 overall, 9-1 in conference play after hosting Monroe College in a non-conference doubleheader Saturday afternoon.

 

In match one, Richard Bland fell to the Mustangs 0-3 with set scores of 10-25, 14-25, and 16-25. Leilani Goggin led the attack with seven kills, followed by Sarah Heath with five, Jadyn Brown with four, and Dryden Rancourt three. Alexis Scipione added 12 assists and five digs for the Statesmen, while Aubrey Hyndshaw tallied 13 digs.

 

In match two, Richard Bland fell to the Mustangs 0-3 with set scores of 19-25, 21-25, and 15-25. Sarah Heath led the attack with 16 kills and Leilani Goggin had nine. Heath also added eight digs and one block, while Goggin tallied nine digs and three service aces. Alexis Scipione was credited with 22 assists and Mikayla Mitchell added four blocks in the loss.

 

The Richard Bland women's volleyball team next travels to Norfolk Collegiate School on Wednesday, October 18th for a non-conference match with the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton College (VA).
