Women’s Volleyball Downs North Dakota State College, Advances to Next Round of Consolation Bracket

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The #9 Richard Bland College Women's Volleyball team moves to 32-7 after defeating #17 North Dakota State College, coming back from a two-set deficit to win the second round of the consolation bracket this afternoon. The Statesmen won a tough, 3-2 battle, recording the following set scores; 25-18, 25-10, 22-25, 26-28, and 20-18.

Sarah Heath led the way with 24 kills, 12 digs, three service aces, and two assists. Leilani Goggin followed closely behind with 22 kills, 19 digs, three service aces, and one assist. Mikayla Mitchell tallied 12 kills and one block, while Jadyn Brown added seven kills and 14 digs. Alexis Scipione was credited with 59 assists and nine digs in the win. Aubrey Hyndshaw added19 digs and five assists for the Statesmen.

With the win, the #9 Statesmen await their opponent for the third round of the consolation bracket. The Statesmen take the court at 1pm CT/2pm ET tomorrow, November 17^th.
