SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The #9 Richard Bland College Women's Volleyball team moves to 33-7 after upsetting #7 Kirkwood Community College, 3-1, in the third round of the consolation bracket this afternoon. The Statesmen recorded the following set scores; 23-25, 25-15, 25-17, and 25-23.
Sarah Heath led the way for the Statesmen with 21 kills, 12 digs, two service aces, and one assist. Leilani Goggin tallied 18 kills, eight digs, and four service aces. Mikayla Mitchell chipped in with seven kills, while Jadyn Brown tallied eight digs, two kills, and three service aces. Alexis Scipione was credited with 46 assists and eight digs in the win.
With the win, the #9 Statesmen take on #5 Iowa Central this evening at 6pm CT/7pm ET.
