Women’s Volleyball Season Concludes at National Tournament

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College Women's Volleyball team's season comes to a close after dropping a 1-3 battle with #5 Iowa Central, in the consolation bracket this evening. The Statesmen complete the season at 33-8 overall, after competing in their third National Tournament appearance in a row.

Richard Bland recorded the following set scores against the Tritons in the fourth round of the consolation bracket; 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, and 10-25.

Sarah Heath and Leilani Goggin led the way with 19 and 17 kills respectively. Heath was also credited with four digs and two service aces, while Goggin added 13 digs in the loss. Jadyn Brown tallied 16 digs, four kills, and one service ace, while Mikayla Mitchell and Marisa Dunnavant added three kills each. Alexis Scipione chipped in with 40 assists, 10 digs, and three service aces, and Aubrey Hyndshaw 14 digs for the Statesmen.

The Richard Bland College Women's Volleyball team finishes the season tied for the 7^th national ranking with Illinois Central.
