Brown Signs With Chowan University
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Jadyn Brown, a member of the Richard Bland College women's volleyball team, has signed her national letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at NCAA Division II Chowan University, beginning spring 2024.
The Stafford, VA native contributed to much success for the seventh year program. In her rookie campaign, Brown helped her team boast a 34-3 overall record, 12-0 in conference play. The team defeated Cape Fear Community College in the Region 10 Championship match to earn an automatic bid in the 2022 NJCAA National Tournament, and would go on to be named National Champions. Brown appeared in 74 sets and was credited with 51 service aces, 44 kills, 36 digs, seven assists, and totaled six blocks.
In her second season, she helped her team to a 33-8 overall record, and 10-1 in conference play. The team defeated Cape Fear Community College in the Region 10 Championship match to earn an automatic bid in the 2023 NJCAA National Tournament. Brown appeared in 127 sets with 247 digs, 112 kills, 69 service aces, 18 total blocks, and 10 assists. She was also named 3rd Team All-Region 10.
Chowan University is affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Conference Carolinas and the Gulf South Conference.
