STATESMEN HOST WAKE TECH ON SUNDAY

PETERSBURG, Va. – The Richard Bland men's basketball team will host Wake Technical Community College on Sunday, Feb. 22^nd in Statesman Hall for a Region X match-up. The Statesmen are seeking its 25^th victory on the season as they approach the final two games of its 2014-2015 regular season.

The first meeting between the teams, Richard Bland handed the Eagles a 94-66 decision on Nov. 18^th.

The contest will provide live stats on www.rbcathletics.com and live audio on WHAP 1340 AM Fox Sports Radio at http://radio.securenetsystems.net/v5/WHAP with Steve "DaTruth" Nugent and Jerrett Brown for the Statesmen parks and recreation game.

RBC enters Sunday's game after coming off a 74-68 win against Patrick Henry Community College. Henrico product Reginald Moses led all scorers in the game with 16 points following both Hopewell product Pedro Berrios and Melvin Gregory (Lancaster) with 12 points each while Armstrong product Tavon Mealy added 10 points.

The Statesmen welcome the Eagles (8-18 overall, 4-12 Region X) to Statesman Hall. Wake Tech is coming off a 78-75 setback to Tidewater Community College. The Eagles were scheduled to face Pitt Community College on Feb.  19^th but no results of the contest were available.

Offensively, Willie Gilmore leads Wake Tech in scoring with 22.1 points per game, while Kasey Bryant and Kenneth Collins follow with 13.9 and 10.8 ppg, respectively.
