WAGNER PLACES FIFTH IN JDL ALL COMERS WOMEN’S HIGH JUMP

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Highlighted by good effort from individuals, the Richard Bland College women's track and field team opened its indoor season on Saturday morning, Nov. 22, at the JDL All-Comers meet inside the JDL Fast Track complex.

Freshman Evan Wagner (Gloucester, VA) placed fifth in the women's high jump of 4' 11 3/4" while sophomore Cassandra Nnaji (Falls Church, VA) placed fourth in the women's shot put.

Freshman Tia Holmes (Chester, VA) placed fifth in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.87. She was just .02 seconds from qualifying for nationals.

The Statesmen will compete again on Dec. 6th when they travel to Christopher Newport University for the Holiday Open. The meet is set to begin at 10 a.m.
